The Long Lake Chambers Power Points
Our most important project lately is the Walleye Wagon. We are hoping with this stocking program our lake will flourish with an abundant of new catch and keep the tourists HERE.
We spend 3 to 4 grand every fall on purchasing walleye fingerlings to be stocked at various locations around the lake.
We collect aluminum over at the town hall to help pay for the stocking programs
We have a beautiful website where your business is listed FOR FREE!!!!! There is no charge and all work is volunteer TIME!
We have a beautiful Long Lake Map that is informative, narrative.
We have an email address that is constantly sending out our Long Lake map to every request.
We send out THOUSANDS of Long Lake Maps to Tourism Bureaus around the state.
We have Long Lake reps attending Washburn County meeting every month that is opening up a whole new world of opportunity for Long Lake at minimal costs! Our maps will be distributed at Chicago shows, Indianapolis shows, Iowa shows, Madison shows, and Milwaukee shows. We had a research team save us over $3000 a year finding out that information.
We hold our annual Granddaddy, largest ice-fishing contest in the area. Your business has a chance to be recognized over 3 of the most prestigious radio stations in the area. Your name can be constantly advertised for weeks before the contest.
The chamber actually will monetarily help with cutting down cost of snowmobile ads in magazines by paying HALF of the fees.
Our brand new signing project around the area has finally given us an updated look that our Long Lake and surrounding businesses DESERVE.
If you cant attend the LLPA meetings we have the LLPA PRESIDENT at every chamber meeting to catch us up on how they strive to keep our lake so clean and beautiful.
We give away a $500 yearly scholarship to a local Sr. High School Student
At Christmas time, we sponsor a local family in need or run a Toys for tots drive
We sponser a club to clean up our entire lake area and much more!
